Dr. Morgan Cope

Assistant Professor of Psychology
Centre College 

Hello! My name is Morgan Cope and I am an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Centre College.

  

I conduct research in the field of Relationship Science with expertise in self-change and emerging interests in health and LGBTQ+ relationships.

I also instruct courses in Social Psychology, Sexuality, Research Methods, and Statistics. My pedagogy is motivated by principles of equity, inclusion, and dignity in and beyond the classroom.

Research Background

I graduated from Florida Atlantic University in May 2024 with my PhD in Experimental Psychology. I earned my MA from the same institution in 2021, and a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Psychology from Ursinus College in 2019. 

I am the lead investigator of the Relationships Science Centre at Centre College. Prior to this appointment, I managed the Close Relationships Lab at Florida Atlantic University from the Fall of 2021to Spring 2024 under the advisement of Dr. Michael Maniaci and mentorship of Dr. Robin Vallacher.
